The time is now for us to:
- End the decades-long pattern of investing in and incentivizing fossil gas that threatens to lock Minnesota into an unsustainable gas-dependent future. Using fossil gas in our homes and business poses serious health and safety risks—and is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions in Minnesota.
- Secure historic, unprecedented federal investments in clean energy, clean transportation, infrastructure, climate, and environmental justice. Bringing these resources to Minnesota will deliver meaningful local climate and equity-focused projects, promote family-supporting jobs, drive economic development in both rural and under-resourced communities, and spur innovation throughout all sectors of our economy.
- Build a future-proof electric grid that can handle extreme weather, increased demand to move away from fossil fuels, and our growing carbon-free electricity supply. Investments in the grid now will serve us generations into a clean energy economy.
- Push clean transportation to the next phase by advancing ambitious and equitable policies—from electric buses to zero-emissions medium and heavy-duty vehicles and everything in between—that will transform how we move our people and our goods in Minnesota.
