We’re also working to limit the impact of negative federal actions on Minnesota’s clean energy transition, including advocating for our state’s coal plants to retire on schedule.
- Exploring innovative clean energy policies like plug-in solar and thermal energy networks, helping more Minnesotans make the switch to clean energy through new legislation.
- Ensuring energy affordability for all by advocating for a statewide energy burden cap — a crucial equity-focused policy to guarantee that households do not spend more than a set percentage of their income on energy costs.
- Building the grid for what’s next as our electricity, transportation, and buildings teams engage in utility Integrated Distribution Plans at the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, collaborating to ensure Minnesota’s grid can quickly and effectively support electric vehicles, electric homes, and new clean energy.
