Join Fresh Energy on Thursday, October 8 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre for the Fair of the Future, our high-energy, all-electric showcase held before and after our 11th annual Benefit Breakfast. Start your day sipping coffee, snacking on mini-donuts, and exploring the newest clean energy technology making it possible to power your home, your car, and your outdoor equipment without fossil fuels!
Check out our photos from last year’s Fair of the Future for what you can expect. Most visitors prefer to visit the fair at 7:30 a.m. before the program begins at 8 a.m. — but don’t worry, the fair continues after the program from 9:30-11 a.m.
We’re thrilled to introduce new vendors this year, as well as welcome back vendors you may remember from past years, too. Stop by these booths to get hands-on and ask the experts your questions about all things electric:
- Electric vehicles: White Bear Mitsubishi and Volkswagen of Inver Grove will be on site with the latest EV and plug-in hybrid models. Sit behind the wheel and ask about which options fit your driving needs.
- Electric outdoor equipment: Toro, MTI Distributing, and Frattallone’s Hardware & Garden will showcase electric lawn and snow equipment. You’d be surprised how much carbon pollution small engines from lawn mowers and snow blowers emit! See how much quieter and easier your yard work can become when you start your motor with the push of a button instead of yanking on a fussy pull cord.
- Electric cooking: Fresh Energy staff will run an induction cooking demonstration so you can get to know the benefits of going electric — no burning fossil fuels, faster cook times, and healthier indoor air for you and your family.
- Electric-roasted local coffee: Coffeewomple is a local coffee roaster in Northeast Minneapolis using a commercial-scale electric roaster to produce delicious, small batches of coffee — the perfect way to start your day with us! Come learn how they made the switch and ask about their nationally featured article in Canary Media celebrating their forward-looking process!
- Indoor air quality: Build Equinox will demonstrate its conditioned energy recovery ventilator, a key home air system that reduces pollutants like wildfire smoke and germs — while helping your home ditch fossil fuels with an electric heat pump! Breathe a sigh of relief with cleaner air in your home, more efficient heating and cooling, and affordable utility bills.
- E-bikes: CAPD Bike Shop will have e-bikes on hand for visitors to check out. Learn which model is right for you and add more joy and whimsy to your commute!
- Financial planning: Chart your financial future with Parable Wealth Partners, our sponsors with a purpose-driven team of financial-planning professionals.
Our Fair of the Future has become a fan favorite part of our Benefit Breakfast, previewing the electric, carbon-free future that Fresh Energy is building in Minnesota, all thanks to supporters like you. Whether you’ve already switched your life to run on clean energy or you’re curious to take your first step, our vendors will ensure you’re educated and enthusiastic to make progress.
See you at the Fair of the Future!
