Tom Strobel is senior vice president of global tax for Ecolab Inc., the global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions and services that protect people and vital resources.
In his current role, Tom leads the tax function within Ecolab’s finance organization. He is a key advisor to the company’s leadership and board of directors on acquisitions, mergers, dispositions, and tax strategies that benefit the company and shareholders.
Previously, he served as vice president of finance for Ecolab’s Latin America region. Tom joined the company in 2016 as assistant treasurer, responsible for cash and debt management, foreign exchange risk management, and auto, property, and general liability risk management.
Tom has more than twenty years of finance, treasury, tax, project finance, investing, and insurance experience. Prior to joining Ecolab, he held roles with Apache Corporation, ExxonMobil, and KMPG. Tom also serves on the board of directors for Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity.
Tom graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Applied Economics. He earned a master’s degree in Business Administration from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
