On December 21, 2020, the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency will publish the draft version of the Clean Cars Minnesota rule. This kicks off the formal rulemaking process and another public comment period.
“Clean Cars Minnesota is a crucial step to building a cleaner and healthier transportation system in Minnesota. It is no secret that we are behind on our carbon reduction goals, as set by the bipartisan Next Generation Energy Act,” said Michael Noble, Executive Director of Fresh Energy. “Tried-and-true policies like clean car standards will get us back on track by reducing climate change-causing pollution, while also improving our public health and ensuring Minnesotans have the clean car choices they want. We thank Governor Walz and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency for moving ahead with this vital policy.”
We implore all Minnesotans who want healthy air, clean water, progress on climate, and more consumer choice to speak up in the Clean Cars Minnesota rulemaking process via our easy online comment submission tool.
