Kate joined the Fresh Energy team in 2025 and as senior associate, human resources, she plays a key role in shaping Fresh Energy’s human resources strategy and leading programs that support employee engagement, performance, and development. Kate has spent most of her career rooted in the nonprofit sector, most recently as the director of human resources for Washburn Center for Children, and brings over 20 years of human resources experience to Fresh Energy. Her training as a social worker has been a guiding force to her work, and is an important lens she uses in her role at Fresh Energy and the organization’s work in the climate and clean energy sector.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Kate lives in Minneapolis where she spends hours walking the city, working on her house and garden, and loving time with her family. Feel free to stop by for a visit – but be ready to pick up a paintbrush!
