Minnesota Electric Vehicle (EV) Infrastructure Plan community engagement event: Minneapolis
June 1 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law created the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program. That program provides funds for states to install fast chargers for electric vehicles (EVs).
Minnesota expects to invest about $68 million from this program over five years, along with a 20 percent non-federal match. To be eligible for the federal program, Minnesota needs to submit a Statewide Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan by Aug. 1, 2022. To learn more about the program and share input, visit the MN Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Plan web page.
MnDOT is hosting several virtual stakeholder workshops and in-person events across the state to hear public feedback on potential fast charger locations along I-94 and I-35. Look for information at an event in your community soon!
