The Intersectionality of Social Movements, Climate Change, and Racism

Nationally acclaimed experts Rhiana Gunn-Wright and Jigar Shah were the special guests at Fresh Energy’s 2019 Benefit Breakfast in October. Rhiana’s words were incredibly powerful and we wanted to elevate again what she had to share with our breakfast guests. In her speech, she addressed head-on the intersectionality of social movements, climate change, and racism.

“People are understanding that a lot of these issues, whether it is Democracy reform, or climate change, or health have common roots largely in systems of oppression, in colonialism, in racism, in misogyny,” said Rhiana Gunn-Wright.
