Ellen Palmer

Ellen Palmer is a passionate climate leader with over 15 years of finance and operational leadership experience growing leading-edge organizations focused on climate and energy in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She recently helped launch the Center for Green Market Activation where she leads areas of finance, operations, and human resources, ensuring the short and long-term health of the organization focused on catalyzing and scaling the uptake of low- and zero-carbon goods and services in the hardest-to-abate sectors.

Ellen also coaches executive women in climate and energy sectors across the U.S. through her private coaching practice, Freedom, Growth & Joy.

Previously Ellen served as the CFO/COO for climate and energy policy nonprofit Fresh Energy, notably shaping clean energy policy in Minnesota. She also served as the CFO/COO and acting sustainability director overseeing climate accountability & philanthropy for climate positive outdoor apparel company, Askov Finlayson. In addition to a bachelor’s in Environment Studies and MBA, Ellen is an accredited executive leadership coach.
