Natalie joined Fresh Energy in April of 2021 as a policy associate with the Clean Electricity team, where she supports Fresh Energy’s work to move Minnesota to a carbon-free economy. Previously, Natalie has worked in local government for the City of Roseville to advance sustainability goals and advocate for environmental policy change to the city’s Public Works Commission. She has also worked as an environmental educator with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board where she taught hundreds of classes to youth and led public events to inspire environmental stewardship. Most recently, Natalie completed a final capstone project at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, where her team analyzed Great River Energy’s load management strategies through researching electric water heaters and their potential for energy storage.
Natalie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, with a concentration in environmental policy. In her free time, Natalie loves camping, hiking, canoeing, trying new recipes, gardening, and taking trips to the cabin in Northern Minnesota with her partner.
