Anjali Muppidi is Fresh Energy’s Capitol Pathways Intern during the 2023 Legislative Session. Anjali comes to Fresh Energy with a passion for environmental justice and equity and is attending the University of Minnesota, majoring in Environmental Science: Policy and Management, with a whopping three minors in Sustainability Studies, Korean, and Forest and Natural Resources Management. In addition to their policy focus, Anjali thrives on learning new languages and in addition to Korean, has also studied Arabic and Japanese.

Even though they retain a rigorous study and internship schedule, Anjali also finds time to follow their passion: dance. As part of the UofM-based hip hop group, K-Move, Anjali’s spare time is spent working on their moves and club-related events. Interested in exploring the K-Pop music scene? Anjali recommends tuning into the latest albums from EXO, NewJeans, and Red Velvet.

If you’re not familiar with it, the Minnesota Capitol Pathways program is worth getting to know. It works to make our government truly representative of our communities, connecting young leaders of color with established policy leaders. Fresh Energy has hosted interns every legislative session since the program’s inception eight years ago.
