Senior Engagement Specialist
Alexis Williams has been with Fresh Energy since July 2013. A skilled community organizer with expertise in working with diverse constituents on local solutions to climate and energy concerns, Alexis guides Fresh Energy’s work in communities, including suburban and Greater Minnesota areas, and leads public engagement across programs. Alexis also works at the Midwest Regional level to enhance the value of Midwest Energy News. In her past work, she designed and launched Restoring Eden’s first campaign to educate and activate young faith leaders to speak out about the moral and health impacts of coal, helped pass Missouri’s first renewable electricity standard through the Green Corps program, and supported Midwest faith organizations’ climate change efforts at RE-AMP. She is passionate about Fresh Energy’s mission to build a clean energy future for Minnesota and is excited to collaborate with diverse thought leaders to work towards positive solutions. Alexis has a BA in political science, cum laude, from Western Washington University. Since 2012, Alexis has been a member of the Young Climate Leaders Network; she was chosen from more than 500 nominees.
