Sarah is responsible for the advancement and alignment of Fresh Energy programs, working closely with the Executive Director to oversee the planning, management, and execution of organizational priorities. She plays a key role in organization-wide strategy, helps launch and support new programs, steers the holistic communications and development aspects of the organization, and leads Fresh Energy’s work to expand program-specific investments. Sarah joined Fresh Energy’s staff in 2013. She previously worked as a communications and fundraising consultant specializing in conservation and healthcare initiatives. She also served as director of the Lower Phalen Creek Project, a community-led nonprofit focused on transforming an urban brownfield site into a vibrant city park. An avid outdoor enthusiast, Sarah is committed to work that contributes to the health of our planet and its people. Sarah holds an MA in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and a BA in Anthropology with a Journalism minor from Macalester College, where she currently serves as a class agent.
