Sarah Clark oversees all programmatic, development, and communications work across Fresh Energy. Working closely with the Executive Director, she leads the planning, management, and execution of organizational priorities. She served as the staff lead in development of the organization’s 2021-2024 Strategic Framework and supervises the lead directors steering the strategic imperatives at the core of Fresh Energy’s mission, as well as having primary responsibility for Fresh Energy’s work to build public resolve for action on climate. A member of the Management Team, Sarah also plays a key role in multiple organization-wide functions, particularly the intersection of finance, program prioritization, and management structures and systems.
A member of Fresh Energy’s staff since 2018, Sarah previously served as director of the Lower Phalen Creek Project, a community-led nonprofit focused on transforming an urban brownfield site into the Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary. She also was a co-founder and a principal consultant for a communications and development firm specializing in conservation and healthcare initiatives. Sarah holds a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with a Journalism minor from Macalester College. When not at work, Sarah enjoys yoga, outdoor exercise, and time with her husband and daughters.
