Briana joined Fresh Energy in April of 2021 as policy communications associate, where she supports our public engagement efforts. Previously, Briana worked in community-based advocacy in south Florida and Jordan and filled a policy communications and advocacy role for WESTT in Brussels, Belgium, where she assisted the firm’s lobbying efforts in the European Parliament and United Nations-Geneva spheres. Most recently, Briana was the Communications Advocate for the St. Croix County Democratic Party, where her team mobilized and engaged a critical sector of Wisconsin voters both before and after the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
Briana was born and raised in western Wisconsin and, regrettably, does not pay much attention to football—despite being surrounded by rival Packers and Vikings fans. Briana holds a BA in Intercultural Studies from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida, and an MA in International Migration and Foreign Policy (with Distinction) from the University of Kent’s Brussels School of International Studies, in Brussels, Belgium. When she is not at work, Briana loves to hike, travel, read, buy more plants than she has space for, and shop the local vintage scene.
