This survey includes questions about how you might decide whether or not to participate in an individual or community solar energy project. It also includes a question about whose advice you would trust when making such a decision, as well as a few demographic questions. This study has no risks and no direct benefits of participation.
Your survey responses will be kept confidential. Your email address will not be stored with your survey results, rather, you will be assigned a participant number, and only the participant number will appear with your survey responses. Data generated by this survey will be used by Fresh Energy to better inform which tools and resources we provide for informed decision making and will be used as part of a larger research effort by researchers at the University of St. Thomas. Data will be stored in a password-protected file accessible only by the co-investigators. In any sort of published report, no information will be included that will make it possible to identify you in any way.
Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary. Your decision whether or not to participate will not affect your current or future relations with Fresh Energy or the University of St. Thomas. If you decide to participate, you are free to withdraw at any time. You are also free to skip any questions we may ask on the survey. If you do not click on the “Done” button at the end of the survey, your answers will not be recorded.
You may contact one of the co-investigators, Dr. Steven M. Hoffman (651-962-5723) or Dr. Angela High-Pippert (651-962-5725), with any questions you may have, at any time.
