As the Global Lead for Strategic Workforce at Allianz, Nicholas Garbis leads the development of robust and innovative strategic workforce planning approaches, helping business units to translate their business strategy into workforce plans while constantly re-evaluating the company’s workforce with respect to the future business and the overall workforce transformation vision. He is a specialist in the field of workforce planning and analytics, with a deep interest in the energy sector and its future workforce needs. Previously, Nicholas worked as a strategic workforce planning leader at GE, where he worked with the industrial energy businesses which employ over 100,000 people in over 100 countries. Prior to joining GE, Nicholas worked in consulting and in several roles at Target Corporation. He has also taught high school mathematics, renovated rental properties, and had a small woodworking business. Nicholas originally worked in the insurance industry after completing a B.S. in Actuarial Science at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
