Donna W. Allan is a career transit professional with more than 25 years of transportation management and planning experience. In 2008, Donna retired as director of the Office of Transit for the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). In that capacity, she was responsible for directing the state and federal financial and technical assistance programs for delivery of transit services throughout greater Minnesota. Donna also directed a statewide planning and training program focused on accommodating pedestrians and bicyclists using the state’s transportation system. She was responsible for programs such as “Safe Routes to School” and “Share the Road.” Prior to her work with MnDOT’s Office of Transit, Donna held a number of other positions with MnDOT and the Minnesota State Planning Agency. Throughout her career, she has been active in professional transportation organizations at both local and national levels, serving on numerous advisory board and committees. She is currently the chair of Fresh Energy’s development committee. Donna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota.
