A poll that was released today by Zogby shows that a majority of voters nationwide support President Obama's call for a carbon cap. Poll takers were responding to President Obama's February 24 statement that:
"To truly transform our economy, protect our security, and save our planet from the ravages of climate change, we need to ultimately make clean, renewable energy the profitable kind of energy. So I ask this Congress to send me legislation that places a market-based cap on carbon pollution and drives the production of more renewable energy in America."
The poll shows that 58 percent "support" Obama's push for climate legislation and of moderate voters that number rises to 73 percent. For more info on the poll check out Zogby's full report.
