Sheila Bayle, Institutional Giving Director
Sheila Bayle joined Fresh Energy as its first development director in December, 2005. With the subsequent growth of the organization, a decision was made to split individual and institutional fundraising into two separate positions. As institutional giving director, Sheila heads up fundraising efforts including grant writing and reporting and assisting with budget projections and strategic planning. She brings with her 28 years of fundraising experience working with Twin Cities Public Television, Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, Scholarship America, and the Raptor Center. Over the years, Sheila also provided fundraising consulting services to several local and national nonprofits including the Family Housing Fund and Belwin Foundation. A college Economic Geography professor solidified Sheila’s interest in working on environmental issues. Sheila has several outside interests: she published a non-fiction book in 1989, Creating Choices (Hazelden publishing), and creates and sells award-winning jewelry. Sheila has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.
