Ross Abbey, Policy Associate

Ross’s work as Policy Associate focuses on the policy (and practical) implications of active transportation and vehicle electrification. He formerly worked as an attorney specializing in intellectual-property and sustainability law, and, before that, as a business-process consultant to Fortune 500 companies. Ross writes and speaks frequently on the social, economic, and legal aspects of energy and sustainability, and has been published in the Stanford Journal of Animal Law and Policy. On the more practical side, he serves on a number of boards and committees, including as Chair of the Environmental Advisory Committee to the City of Minneapolis. He holds a JD from the University of Chicago Law School and a BS in Chemical Engineering, cum laud, from Texas A&M University in College Station.
