Jenna Hartwig Wade

Jenna Hartwig Wade, Communications Specialist

Jenna joined Fresh Energy in February 2006 as administrative associate and took on the role of development and communications coordinator in March 2008. Currently, as communications specialist (a position she’s held since late 2010), Jenna’s activities include social media, media relations, email marketing, website content and maintenance, editing and compiling Fresh Energy’s publications, and creating other online content. She believes smart energy policy is the best way to fight global warming, create jobs, and grow the economy (but believes you should change your light bulbs too). Jenna is a member of Minnesota Women in Marketing and Communications and also serves on the board of the Twin Cities chapter of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. She is an alto in the Oratorio Society of Minnesota (but will always regret giving up the bagpipes in 1999), and is in the middle of a passionate love affair with her bike (a vintage electric-blue cruiser). In 2002, Jenna graduated magna cum laude, was named Sociology Student of the Year, and earned her B.A. in Sociology from Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota.
