Erin Stojan Ruccolo, Senior Policy Associate

Erin works in Fresh Energy’s Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency program with a focus on renewable energy transmission and wholesale markets policy, and clean energy, energy efficiency, and coal retirement advocacy in regional transmission planning. In addition, Erin coordinates renewable energy advocacy efforts of about 100 advocates in eight upper Midwest states through RE-AMP, a network of over 130 nonprofits and foundations in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio aligned to reduce electricity sector global warming pollution 80 percent by 2030 and economy-wide reductions 80 percent by 2050. Erin first joined Fresh Energy in November 2002 as an organizer for the JustEnergy program working for fair energy policy solutions for imported hydroelectric power that hurt people and the environment in northern Manitoba. In 2004, she became the RE-AMP Commons coordinator, organizing the online community of RE-AMP.
