Clean Energy

Statement from Fresh Energy following last night’s election

capitol_minnesotaFollowing the results of last night’s election, Fresh Energy executive director Michael Noble released the following statement:

“Decades of experience have shown the value of growing clean energy businesses and jobs across Minnesota. New wind and solar projects have meant family supporting jobs and millions in tax revenue for rural communities. Energy conservation has helped cut waste from our system and lower costs for families and businesses.

As technology and innovation move the energy sector forward, the market is driving more investment into local energy sources and electric cars and away from imported fuels. For the past 25 years we’ve worked with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to shape energy policies that take advantage of those market changes, and we look forward to continuing that work moving forward.”

In addition to shaping and driving policy in Minnesota, Fresh Energy publishes an Energy News Network providing original reporting and top stories from across the country on the transition to clean energy. Sign up to keep up-to-date on progress being made in the Midwest, Southeast, and U.S. through decision making at the state and local level.
