This fall, leaders in energy, innovation, and policy will once again be coming together for a lively discussion around the future of our energy system. These events come on the tails of an outstanding opening pairing of Nancy Pfund (DBL Investors) and Steve Corneli (NRG Energy) discussing how private investments, publicly regulated utilities, and public policy can shape a new utility business model that’s more efficient, clean, and flexible. The dynamic format allowed the speakers to question and challenge one another while giving the audience the chance to provide questions and stir discussion.
Each of the upcoming power pairings will feature two leaders of varying backgrounds tackling the big questions facing businesses, utilities, and policy makers.
- Smart and Fast: Cars remaking the world of the electric company. Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard and Robert Graham of the US Department of Energy.
- Heating and Cooling from Sustainable Forestry: Can sustainably harvested wood fuel combined heat and power in Minnesota? Ken Smith, President and CEO of Ever-Green Energy and Katie Fernholz, Executive Director of Dovetail Partners, a recognized source of information on forestry-related issues.
- Solar for All: How those trying to block rooftop solar are their own worst enemy. Jon Wellinghoff, Co-chair, Stoel Rives energy team and immediate past Chairman of FERC and James Tong, Vice President, Strategy and Government Affairs, Clean Power Finance.
Seating will be limited, so guests are encouraged to register soon to take advantage of early bird pricing.
