Attend the Northfield Area Climate Summit, a free, community-led information and discussion forum on climate change for Northfield area residents, businesses, and institutions. The summit will feature meteorologist Paul Douglas as keynote speaker and breakout sessions led by distinguished science and industry leaders, including Fresh Energy’s science policy director J. Drake Hamilton. This event will take place at St. Olaf College and is free and open to the public.
Breakout sessions will include time for questions and open discussion and will strive to foster a spirit of comity and openness to the views of all community participants. Each panel will include attention to the local implications of climate change and offer practical information and resources to foster ongoing discernment and action.
Lunch will be available for purchase on site. A voucher for a free lunch will be provided to the first 150 people to register for the summit. Participants are also welcome to bring their own lunch to this full day program.
